Objectives and Strategies:
 
A. Provide a safe and welcoming environment for patrons and staff
  1. Develop an emergency plan with a procedure checklist for staff
  2. Provide annual security training for staff
  3. Investigate additional library security measures by seeking advice from security professionals

B. Provide staffing that addresses the needs of a diverse and growing community
  1.  Identify staffing needs on an on-going basis
  2. Secure staff to meet identified needs
 
C. Increase staff training and development
  1. Create an on-going process for gathering feedback from staff on training and learning needs
  2. Provide bi-annual in-house training for all staff
 
 D. Improve internal communications
  1. Recognize employee accomplishments
  2. Solicit input from staff on how to continuously improve communication

E. Increase access to library programs and services
  1. Determine additional signage needs inside and outside the facility
  2. Implement additional hours of operation as resources allow
  3. Identify optimal locations for drop off/pick-boxes for library materials
  4. Utilize identified potential sites for off-site programming throughout the county
