The Woodford County Library is accepting applications for the following job opening:

Science in Play2Go Play Specialist

Main Library

Temporary/Seasonal • $15 per hour • 20-30 hours per week

September - December 2026

Designed by Kentucky Science Center and coming soon to the Woodford County Library, Science in Play2Go is a state-of-the-art, progressive exhibit with the express purpose of encouraging children to be discoverers of knowledge and champions of their own growth. Through play, this exhibit puts a strong emphasis on the act of scientific thinking rather than scientific content. 

The Play Specialist will be responsible for helping to get the library ready to receive Science in Play2Go, maintaining the exhibit, and implementing and facilitating programs for school groups, families and teachers. If you are interested, Click here to apply.

Part-Time Library Assistant: Reference Desk

Main Library

Part-time • $13 per hour • 15-20 hours per week

This position requires an energetic and flexible person who enjoys working with the public in an efficient and friendly manner with an appreciation for detail and accuracy. Duties include checking materials in and out of the Library using a computer, helping patrons find what they need, and shelving materials. The Reference Library Assistant also assists library patrons with email, printing, computers, and other technology issues. Must be proficient in the use of a computer. Must have the ability to lift, push, or pull up to 20 lbs. Evening and weekend hours are required.
